This is a more independent holiday. The guest house provides excellent accessible rooms with wet rooms and walk-in showers, both in the main house and annexes. The Manor House & Ashbury Manor House Hotel http://www.manorhousehotel.co.uk/

Plenty to see and do for the whole family. A lot of thought has been given to accessibility including easy access pool ramps in the Spa. Probably one of the best hotels offering on-site activities and adaptable to anyone's needs. A few inclines between buildings, all accessible with ramps through at least one door. Try out the variety of crafts, sports and leisure activities or just relax at the spa or in the garden. Menu offers variety and dining is flexible.

Susan and her mother enjoyed an activity packed 5 days, including trips to see the sea.

Witchingham B&B at The White Phesant:

https://thewhitepheasantnorfolk.co.uk/

Bought in February 2021 and undergoing restoration, this delightful hotel is situated in woods. The staff couldn't be more helpful to accommodate all our needs. Even ripping out a bathroom and installing a walk-in shower in the ground floor accessible room in time for our arrival. Not suitable for hoist users.

Meals served and paid for separately to the hotel. Very large portions.

Our Bench, Lymington, New Forest: http://www.ourbench.co.uk/

Our Bench offers accessible self-catering accommodation in the New Forest with wet rooms and profile beds.

Susan accompanied a wheelchair dependent lady during 2020 to be self contained and reduce the COVID risk. It was perfect for our complex and highly dependent needs. Very friendly and accommodating family-run business. HIghly recommend!

Crathie Opportunity Holidays, Balmoral, Scotland

https://www.crathieholidays.org.uk/

Wheelchair accessible self-catering cottages situated between the gates of Balmoral Castle and Crathie Kirk (Church). Ceiling hoists, wetroom, own sitting/dining area. Also community lounge and laundry room. Really friendly and helpful staff. We were there the week the new Priminister met the Queen who died later the same week. Attended church with the then Prince Charles and various members of the Royal family. We hired a wheelchair accessible vehicle and although the location meant some long journeys, it was all very do-able. My husband came as our driver as I'd alread learnt that doing all the driving, cooking, caring for 2 weeks would be too exhausting.

Really good holiday venue to which I'd be happy to return.
